Excellent Chinese Noodles
May 20, 2008
To Me the best bang for your buck is ” sha lin noodles”
They make the noodles right in front of you And they have vegitarian broth as well as chicken broth
Every guest I take there is really happy.
Also a good source of ” local info” is :
“discovervancouver”http://www.discovervancouver.com/forum/place-noodle-soup-t36095.html
Heres a post from “taste of 604.com”
Cutting noodles in soup w/ lamb: these are the neatest noodles. The chef takes a block of dough and you watch him scrape the noodles off one at a time as they fly into the pot of boiling soup. the soup is a clear broth that soaks up the lamb taste. Lots of cilantro for extra flavouring… so good, drooling as I’m typing.
I agree– the cutting noodles with lamb are the best!
Finally- Good Ramen In Vancouver : !
March 22, 2008
Finally Vancouver has some good Ramen-
After years of praying that someone would start a Ramen shop that tasted good
Benkei Ramen has opened on Robson St in Vancouver .
The Ramen tastes really good .Especially the “house” Ramen- it has a special amount of dried fish in the soup.
They have three basic types of soup Shio Hakata-my favorite
Miso Hakata My second favorite .
And Shoyu - tastes good but is much lighter - has the chicken based soup .
Highly recommended . My prayers have been finally answered -
Now I just need someone to set up a “Sento” next door .
Also the service to really good~
